~~ Let's Go to the Hop! ~~

If only she were always this sweet, but we do love her!

Aubrey practicing her dance moves . . .

. . . & Gavin showing off a move or two of his own.

Gavin and Aubrey went to the annual Daddy/Daughter Valentines's Day dance on Friday, February 8. This year the theme was a 'Sock Hop,' and Gav said it was even better than last year. Daddy and daughter had a great time. And of course Mom didn't complain about a quiet night at home with the boys.

The dance was held at the elementary school, and sponsored by the ROA and local businesses. This year the tables were decorated with various 50s-inspired themes, and the centerpieces were raffled off at the end of the night. Nobody left empty-handed though, as all little girls were given a cute goody box to remember the night. There was also a 'diner' serving mini cheeseburgers, french fries, milkshakes, onion ring towers, and drinks. As a very special guest, a local award-winning Elvis impersonator sang his heart out to DuPont's little sweethearts. So, so fun.

How do all these little girls born in this millenium even know how to freak out for Elvis? As one of Gav's colleagues said, "It's inherent to the double-X chromosome."

Good Night, Sweetheart!

Too cute! Who wouldn't want to live in Dupont after seeing those pictures. It IS Pleasantville.
